With Gods Don’t Take Calls, Walk in Darkness open another chapter of their unique musical universe. The album will be released digitally on December 12, 2025 and leads listeners through a world of ruins, silence and inner renewal.

Nine songs form a poetic work about the loss of human depth, the search for light and the question of what remains of us when the gods no longer answer.

YouTube already offers a first glimpse. Five tracks from the album can be seen there with official videos, along with the original video for Last Siren.

The Songs of Gods Don’t Take Calls

Nico Rising

The opening track explores origin and identity. The narrator carries only his mother’s love and a hidden secret within him. The song feels like a quiet inner awakening, a call toward purity and truth.

Across the Oceans

A piece filled with vastness and longing. The ocean symbolizes hope but also solitude. Humanity must rebuild the pillars that hold up the sky to find itself again.

No Banners No Glory

The conceptual core of the album. It paints the image of a Western world in ruins, abandoned by its own ideals. The gods do not respond, and the gaze turns toward the East, where wisdom and balance may still survive.

Chasing the Horizon

An anthem to human dignity. Despite war and unrest, people search for a place where their songs still matter. The horizon represents the eternal pursuit of meaning.

Freedom

A quiet reflection on the modern age. The narrator calls himself a child of a painful century and holds on to freedom and vision, because they are the last refuge from mediocrity and spiritual fatigue.

Mother

A spiritual and emotional tribute to the cosmic Mother. In an age where humanity has lost its connection to nature and the sky, this song reminds us that the source of life still carries the power to restore color and renewal.

Towards Chang’an

A journey inward and outward at the same time. Chang’an stands for harmony, serenity and the pursuit of wisdom. The song feels like a path through noise and conflict toward inner peace.

You Who Dream

A song for dreamers and those who refuse to give up. It reminds us how important it is to remain human in a world increasingly shaped by machines and algorithms.

Last Siren Revisited

The closing track feels like a returning breath. The Siren becomes memory and time itself, welcoming the traveler after a long exile. A new and mature interpretation of the very first Walk in Darkness song.

Walk in Darkness Band - Gods Don’t Take Calls

The World of Walk in Darkness

Anyone who listens to Walk in Darkness enters a realm shaped by melancholy, symbolism and cinematic sound. The band was founded in 2015 and has since become one of the most unusual and visionary projects in European gothic and symphonic metal.

The creative vision of Walk in Darkness comes from Shaman, the composer and conceptual force behind the band. He shapes a sound in which heavy guitars, orchestral depth and poetic reflections on human fragility merge into one.

Nicoletta Rosellini gives this world its voice. With emotional expression and clarity, she carries the stories of the project and brings them to life with shades of melancholy, warmth and light.

They are joined by Monk Key, whose bass anchors both heavy and symphonic moments, and by Arcanus, whose drumming adds dark energy and dynamic intensity to the music. The sound is completed by Emiliano Pasquinelli, a longtime collaborator whose growls add depth and contrast.

Aside from Nicoletta, the core of the band remains deliberately anonymous. Masks and silhouettes symbolize the universal human spirit and an art that reaches beyond individual identity.

With their previous releases, Walk in Darkness have gained a loyal international following. More than 21 million views on YouTube, strong support from the metal community and a distinct aesthetic make them one of the most compelling acts of their time.
