Nicoletta Rosellini and Alterium

Nicoletta Rosellini is an Italian rock/metal vocalist and songwriter, born on April 27, 1991, in Lucca, Tuscany. She began her musical journey at the age of seven as a classical pianist and first stepped onto the stage at fifteen as the singer of a local rock band. Trained in rock/pop vocals, she has since built a distinctive career, releasing numerous albums and performing at over 100 shows. Nicoletta is best known today as the singer, songwriter, and founder of Alterium, her primary artistic focus. Formed on December 4, 2022, the band unites her with longtime musical companions Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums), joined by Alessandro Mammola (guitars) and Luca Scalabrin (bass). Produced by Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), Alterium recorded their debut album Of War and Flames in 2023 and signed with AFM Records. The album blends classic power metal with modern flair and has since received critical acclaim, accumulating over two million video views and more than one million Spotify streams. International releases followed in Japan (Avalon Marquee) and Brazil (Valhall Music). Following their successful debut, Alterium performed at major European festivals including Killerz Fest (Germany), Epic Fest (Denmark), Brainstorm Fest (Netherlands), and Rimini Comix (Italy), earning praise for their powerful live performances. In July 2025, the band independently released their EP Stormrage, featuring new songs, a Symphony X cover, and an orchestral version of the title track from their debut album. Later that year, Alterium made their US live debut at the prestigious ProgPower Festival in Atlanta and embarked on a European tour with Fabio Lione’s Dawn of Victory, marking another major milestone in their journey. The band is currently preparing for further European festival appearances in 2025 and 2026, including the Brainstorm Festival and Time To Rock Festival, while working on their second full-length album, expected for late 2026. Outside of Alterium, Nicoletta is also the lead singer of the gothic metal band Walk in Darkness, which she joined in 2015. With them, she has released four studio albums and several singles, collectively surpassing 21 million views on YouTube. In 2022, she co-fronted the international melodic metal project The Erinyes (Frontiers Music), alongside Justine Daaé and Mizuho Lin. A second album is currently in development. Nicoletta has collaborated with a range of artists, including Mortemia, Bardomagno, Bloodorn, and Rhapsody, and was part of the Vivaldi Metal Project live lineup from 2018 to 2022. Earlier in her career, she co-founded Kalidia, a power metal band active from 2010 to 2022, with whom she released two critically acclaimed albums and toured across Europe. Alongside her original music, Nicoletta runs a successful YouTube channel where she shares monthly vocal covers spanning metal, pop, and video game music. The channel has surpassed one million views and showcases her stylistic versatility and fan engagement. Beyond her musical career, Nicoletta works part-time as a veterinarian and is also an active content creator in the realms of nerd culture, fantasy gaming, and gothic fashion. She has performed at major comic and gaming conventions across Italy, both with her bands and with her solo "nerd show".
