Nicoletta Rosellini transforms one of the most iconic Eurodance hits of the 2000s into a powerful metal anthem. Her brand new cover of Everytime We Touch is now available online, made possible and funded by her loyal Ko-fi community!

But the story behind this song goes back further than many people think.

From 70s Soft Rock to Eurodance Fame

Everytime We Touch was not born on the dance floor. It started out as a gentle love ballad by Scottish singer Maggie Reilly, released in 1992 and based on earlier songwriting collaborations with Stuart Mackillop and Peter Risavy.

It was not until 2005 that the song became a global hit, thanks to Cascada, the Eurodance project led by vocalist Natalie Horler. Their energetic version topped international charts, earning millions of streams and multiple platinum certifications.

For Nicoletta, the 2005 version was a constant companion in her teenage years.

Back when I didn't know metal yet, I remember spending my days as a teenager listening to these songs on repeat.

A New Perspective with a Metal Sound

Nicoletta’s version remains faithful to the emotional heart of the original, while adding heavy guitars, symphonic elements, and her expressive voice. The result is a rich reinterpretation that balances nostalgia with strength, offering something new for fans of both the original and metal music alike.

This cover was made possible by the amazing supporters on Ko fi, who took part in choosing the song and helped bring it to life.

The next release is already in the works and will be a special treat for fans of symphonic and folk metal. Nicoletta’s upcoming cover of Through Wolf’s Eyes by Elvenking is set to arrive at the end of July.

Originally released in 2004 on the album Wyrd, the song blends epic melodies with powerful nature symbolism. With its mix of acoustic parts and fast metal sections, it is a perfect foundation for a new vocal interpretation.
