The Italian power metal band Alterium is embarking on their first major European tour, joining Fabio Lione’s project Dawn of Victory. This tour marks not only a significant milestone for Alterium but also a tribute to the musical roots that shaped their sound.
A special connection: Nicoletta Rosellini and Fabio Lione
Alterium's lead singer Nicoletta Rosellini has often cited vocalists like Roy Khan, Russell Allen, and especially Fabio Lione as her biggest inspirations. The two artists have shared a long-standing friendship that began in the early days of Nicoletta’s previous band Kalidia. Back then, Lione visited the studio during the band’s first demo recordings and later invited Nicoletta to sing with Rhapsody, an offer she accepted with great enthusiasm.
Dawn of Victory: A journey back to the roots of power metal
Fabio Lione’s Dawn of Victory is more than just a new project. It is a return to the essence of symphonic power metal. Together with former Rhapsody members like Alex Holzwarth (drums), Patrice Guers (bass), and Dominique Leurquin (guitar), Lione brings legendary albums such as Dawn of Victory (2000) back to life on stage. That album was named the second-best power metal record of all time by Metal Hammer in 2019.
