Nicoletta Rosellini has just released a brand-new orchestral version of 'Queen of the Forsaken', originally featured on Kalidia’s 2018 album The Frozen Throne. This reinterpretation brings the dark fantasy atmosphere of the song to life in a cinematic way, highlighting themes of loss, vengeance, and mystical power through dramatic arrangements and Nicoletta’s expressive voice.

Sylvanas Windrunner: A Dark Queen Rises

In the official video, Nicoletta embodies a mysterious dark queen inspired by Sylvanas Windrunner from World of Warcraft – a tragic character torn between pain, wrath, and destiny. The visuals combine fantasy-inspired storytelling with an epic soundtrack, creating a unique experience for both metal fans and lovers of cinematic music. But fans of fantasy video games and stories won’t be disappointed either!

What’s next?

The next cover in Nicoletta’s series will be 'Try Me' by UFO. Originally released in 1977 on the album Lights Out, this ballad has become one of the band’s most beloved songs, showcasing their melodic and emotional side in contrast to their harder rock tracks.

With its heartfelt lyrics and Michael Schenker’s iconic guitar work, “Try Me” became a fan favorite and remains a highlight in UFO’s live shows to this day. This track was one of the most requested suggestions from Nicoletta’s Ko-fi supporters and will be the next chapter in her ongoing series of reimagined classics.

With ‘Queen of the Forsaken’, Nicoletta proves once again how she blends metal roots with cinematic storytelling – and fans can already look forward to what’s next!
