A Year of Music and Milestones: Nicoletta Rosellini Looks Back on 2025

2025 – wow, what a year.

I never thought it would be possible to experience so many beautiful emotions (and yes, some less beautiful ones too) all at once, and to see a few lifelong dreams actually come true.

Don’t worry though, my wish list is still very long, and some dreams are still very far away, so I’ll be sticking around for a long time 😉

Thank you all!

First of all, I want to thank all of you, my community, who follows me and supports me. Whether you’ve been here for just a few weeks or for more than ten years doesn’t matter. What matters is that, at some point, our paths crossed. I truly hope I gave you another year of good music.

A very special thank you goes to my Ko-fi community, who played a crucial role in my musical production this year. Not only did you help fund the 12 covers released in 2025, but with every extra cent you supported me through a particularly difficult year financially, due to the major expenses I had to face for my band, Alterium. Without you, I honestly wouldn’t have made it.

Thank you and a big hug to each one of you.

Studio Work, Blizzard and a Dream Come True

So… let’s recap what happened this year.

2025 started rather quietly, with mostly studio work for both Walk in Darkness and Alterium, as at the end of 2024 we decided to release a self-produced EP during the year. We already had two original songs recorded, and then we recorded a cover of Paradise Lost by Symphony X at Paolo’s studio.

For the first time ever, I received an invitation to an official Blizzard Entertainment event abroad: the 30th anniversary of Warcraft in London. A true dream came true. These kinds of events always leave me with so many insights and ideas that we later bring into fairs and activities with The Nexus project. Three absolutely wonderful days.

Spring, Festivals and the Return to the Stage

From spring onwards, things really started to heat up. I shot the videos for Chasing the Horizon and Stormrage, and I took part in Epic Fest as a storyteller, though I couldn’t resist stepping on stage to sing Symphony of Enchanted Lands with Fabio Lione’s Dawn of Victory and the Female Choir of Roskilde Cathedral, and also with my friends Bloodorn.

And then, back on stage with Alterium! At Easter we played in Portugal for the first time and stayed an extra day all together to explore Porto (which we absolutely loved).

We then prepared for the release of the Stormrage EP, adding the new songs to the setlist and testing a brand-new live rack system… and before we could even catch our breath, the summer festival season began.

At the same time, together with my friends Irene and Eleonora, we produced a new single inspired by the witches of Macbeth, for which I wrote the lyrics, and we filmed a beautiful video in San Leo, near Rimini. And of course, work on the new Walk in Darkness album continued as well.

ProgPower USA and the First Tour

As summer came to an end, we headed off for one of the most incredible experiences of my life: ProgPower USA. I had never set foot on American soil before, and I couldn’t have imagined a better reason to do it than playing at one of the festivals I’ve dreamed about for years. Everything exceeded expectations.

Finally meeting so many of you in person after years of virtual connections was incredibly special, an experience I will carry in my heart forever.

No time to rest though: as soon as we got back, we started preparing for our first real tour, across Europe with Fabio Lione’s Dawn of Victory. We couldn’t have asked for a more fitting band to share this journey with, almost like passing the torch of classic power metal.

Stormrage, Blizzard and a Lifelong Dream

Just a few days before leaving, an email arrived that completely shook me. From Blizzard 😊

They loved our Stormrage video, and since Legion Remix was coming out in October, they wanted to produce a new collaborative video to promote the content. Absolute chaos, everything had to be filmed last minute, but we made it, and we sent all the footage to Blizzard the day before leaving for Spain.

We hit the road with adrenaline through the roof. The first leg was tough, full of amazing moments, but also challenges, which we somehow managed to handle well (not a given, since it was our first tour ever).

After coming back home, Stormrage – Legion Remix Edition was released… and we ended up on Battle.net.

Guys, I can say this: even if I never did anything artistic again in my life, I think I’ve already fulfilled my dream. I started writing Warcraft-inspired songs ten years ago to tell the story of a world I deeply love,  I never imagined something like this would happen.

Releases, Tours and the Road Ahead

Before leaving again, Foul and Fair was released for Halloween, the Disgrazie video, along with a beautiful artbook featuring photos, sheet music and illustrations, which I’m incredibly proud of.

In November we left for the second tour leg, and this time everything felt more relaxed. We were more confident, more experienced, and so many things simply worked better. We closed the 2025 live shows in the best possible way!

But the year wasn’t over yet.

I filmed the new Last Siren video (it was freezing!!!), and with The Nexus we took part in Milan Games Week, bringing Warcraft-related content.

On December 12th, the new Walk in Darkness album God Don’t Take Calls was released digitally, with the physical version coming next year.

December itself was calmer, and we managed to complete the songwriting for the new Alterium album.

Looking Ahead to 2026

What can I say…

An incredibly productive year, far beyond anything I could have expected.

2026 already looks explosive in so many ways, and I can’t wait for it to begin.

I truly hope you’ll want to be part of it too, following me along this strange adventure called life.

I wish your 2026 will be just as wild and full as mine is shaping up to be. 💫🤘🏻
